Just paid my final balance on our trip! 68 days to go so hoping nothing stops us from going! First time leaving the UK/Ireland in 2 years! Very excited!

Fingers crossed for you 😀. We love Venice & will hopefully get back there this year. Definitely explore the back alleys, less crowded and we found some lovely little restaurants and places to have coffee, none of which were expensive.

I love Burano, it’s a lovely island that you can get to via Murano.

Also, as mentioned before, check the hide tide tables as areas can flood.

I went to Venice with my Mum in 2017 for 3 days and it was plenty of time. I’d read that it’s best to get up early to beat the crowds so managed to do the doge’s palace tour and St Michael’s in one morning. Then we could spend time getting lost in the city, we made a trip to murine, burano on the second day and spend more time getting lost in the city which is the best way to see everything as it’s just so beautiful. We would pop into churches to have a look as well. Have fun
