We went for 16 nights this August and we had 8 nights at Sapphire Falls 4 nights at St pete Beach and 4 nights at Pop Century but only had a MNSSHP ticket (to get our disney fix). This was our first time without Disney 14 day tickets and we loved our holiday, we found it some much more relaxing than having to have everything planned and be at this place at that time as we do with Disney.

I know most people say get a hotel with express pass and if it is in your budget that's great but if you think you would rather spend the extra money on something else you can manage without them when staying for a week or more. This was our first universal stay without Express pass (for our dates to get a hotel with express pass it was over £1000 more) but as we had 8 days in the parks we found we didn't need them to get everything done, we went in at early entry and could ride everything with no more than a 15 minute wait before 11am after that they would have been handy. We only stayed in the parks to about 12 and went back to the hotel to chill out, then go back on a night and we took time to look round everything in the parks and shows rather than rushing from ride to ride like we have done in the past.

We had a day at SW and BG and funspot at kissimmee and found that it was easy to fill our days without Disney. We would definitely do a none Disney holiday again and it is easy to find things to do to fill the holiday.
