Valencia short break
We have 2 nights booked in Valencia at the start of April and am looking for ideas of things to do with two kids aged 10 and 12.
We aren't keen on dolphins in captivity so that rules out the big aquarium. We plan to cycle from one end of the river bed park to the other as thought that would be a nice thing to do. Apart from that we're not sure what else would be good. |

Hi,
We did Valencia last year with a ten year old and a one year old. We loved it! The river bed you mentioned was a lovely walk. We also did the Mestella tour which both kids loved. It was a great place for walking and having a look at some of the stunning buildings! There were lots of public space and some stunning architecture. The cathedral was nice too! We didn’t plan much and went off the cuff and had a great time. I am sure you will too! |

Excited about Disney

I’m going this Friday for 3 nights. Going to watch Valencia vs Villarreal on Sunday night. We’ve got the zoo & a tour of the Mestella stadium planned but apart from that we’ll just have a wander round and have a nose at whatever takes our fancy. If you have a search on google/trip advisor/Pinterest they all give good ideas of things to do.

We’ve been to Valencia twice: once in January 2017 and again last week! We used it as a stopover from Bilbao to our winter vacation home in Jávea. It’s a beautiful place - a city of three parts if you like. The old town has some amazing old buildings including the cathedral where the holy grail is on show (must admit we didn’t go in as we only had one night and it was €8 pp so we decided against). We’ve been to the aquarium and the science park. The dolphins are only a part of the aquarium but we didn’t really like that. There is a big aviary and the usual aquarium fish. The science museum has exhibits geared up for children interaction but the most memorable part is the architecture there. Really stunning modern structures. The beach is the last part. It’s fabulous. We fondly remember having paella in a beach restaurant in January in our shirtsleeves in baking sunshine!
