Tips needed for group holiday

Waiting for others can be frustrating and makes you start the day off on the wrong foot. Plan night before what time you are leaving. Have 15 min window in mind in case someone is running late. Then you will less likely to be annoyed.

As soon as opening hours come out for your holiday time, I would print it all out and have an evening of planning.

Some morning should be up and at 'em, some should be a midday'ish start and others can be late afternoon into evening. A mix of all 3, but try to get your early mornings on the first few days as you'll be awake early with jet lag anyway - make the most of it.

Who is doing FPs for the group? That will take some super planning.

I think you'll be surprised how much the food bill is - but if you buy the big packs available in Walmart, it will help. Pasta, whole chickens, massive pizzas, loads of salad etc.
I'd also buy the massive bags of cereal if you can agree on which 1 or 2 to buy.

Get a couple of slabs of water without fail. Pop some in the freezer and some in the fridge - we take one of each every day (for each person) - it saves having to drink the lukewarm water in the parks!

If you go out to dinner, have the drinks done separately but agree to split the food bill by 5 exactly. I certainly wouldn't dare to ask for 5 bills from the server unless you're leaving a very hefty tip!

I think there are mixed views for bill splitting here, it honestly depends on your group. If your all drinkers and will all have equal amounts of starter and pud then it’s okay to split equally (with rotated drivers) and that may be easier. But if there is one or 2 people who are bigger drinkers, or on budgets or vegetarian t-total and you value your friendships, inconvenience the server at the start and ask for split bills, make just make sure to tip accordingly.
