! so angry with virgin atlantic!
just filled in all our api online then i had to do my 8 year old grandsons who we are taking as he was added on at a later date he has his own booking number i was not able to do it as the lead passenger has to be a adult:angry: so phoned them of course i am not on his booking so i was not allowed to do it:angry: was told to phone vh to cross ref the booking wich i know we had done before so done it again then phoned virgin atlantic to try again still said no im not on the booking nobody is on it except a 8 year old was told yet again to cross ref booking what do i do now let him phone up himself or just wait untill i arrive at gatwick.

I would suggest you email customer relations (takes a couple of days to get a response) and if no joy from that, then do this at the airport.

Is online check in worth all stress its giving you. It wont take long to have him checked in at the airport. If i was in your situation id give it up as one of those things and just enjoy loking forward to my holiday.

I second that, you can always check your luggage in the day before if you don't want to do it the morning of your flight.

API isn't the same as online check-in, it's advance passenger information and I think you are supposed to do it before you get to the airport. I would ring customer relations and ask them how they would like you to complete it, i would have the 8 year old nearby and if necessary ask them to speak with him briefly, surely they will then realise how ridiculous they are being?

Many airlines collect API at the airport, it shouldn't be a problem to leave it until you check in.

You can definitely do the API at the airport, for some reason the system hadn't kept my details on my flight in February.
