Tell you what, I will take it back as soon as they prove it isn't a lie.

This wasn't my original and subsequent point. People may believe things that have been refuted 100s of times.

The question is. Is it acceptable on this forum to describe people as gullible morons?

I am talking about courtesy and respectful debate.

FWIW I'm also not keen on anyone being called personal insulting names including Boris Johnson, his neighbour or Jamie Oliver.

For proof that people continue debunked lies(Lisbon Treaty argument) just look at the measles outbreak.
The Wakefield Autism/MMR link has been long disproved but some misguided parents refuse to acknowledge this.
Some just chose to believe regardless of proven repudiation.

Don't you think that if this happened at Jeremy Corbyn's house and that their neighbours were conservative, that the actual recording would not be playing on repeat on every news channel?

Exactly.

At the end of the day, what matters is that it did happen, regardless of the neighbours political views.

The digs and attacks on the neighbours and their views are misplaced imo. Boris shouldn’t have put himself in this position in the first place.

It was careless of him I agree, arguments can become volatile quite quickly and he should have nipped it in the bud but I think the neighbours are completely in the wrong for what they are doing too .

IF we were talking about Boris ...

Again, not talking about Boris.

We agree that a woman on the receiving end of DV is seen as a victim I presume?

I think it is odd then that a man who is on the receiving end of DV is not seen as a victim too, but instead, is seen as having poor judgement.

That doesn't seem right to me.

Thankfully not shoes I have walked in - but it does seem more than a smidge unfair.

And a more general point ...

An argument does not have to mean DV.

I have a fair number of arguments with my DH within the confines of my house, and within the confines of a healthy relationship.

Neither he nor I have bad judgement necessarily - just after 30 odd years allow eachother to put forward their perspective.

I don't always listen granted ... 😉

Not sticking up for Boris at all here but talking generally. What we know is that she screamed "get off me" "get out of my house". Nobody could see what was going on, perhaps he was trying to console her, if DH and I argue I'm often very upset and he tries to hug me which after 33 years he should have learnt to leave me alone to cool down or he will make me worse, this could have been what was happening or it could have been something bad too but we can't judge by what we can't see. The neighbours did right recording it for the police but when told all was ok they should have done the decent thing and deleted it. As said above DV is not just male on female it can be female on male and all other variables too.

This relationship that Boris is in is pretty recent although it seems to have brought about a fairly quick divorce.
Perhaps he needs to decide if this is a long term thing or in view of volatility ( either or both of them as I am not apportioning blame) his political aspirations are where his future is focussed.

Wonderful Matt cartoon today.

A policeman is standing on the steps to Jeremy Hunts home.
He announces, we were called today as a man could be heard shouting I'm going to be the next Prime Minister.

You had to see it really I suppose...
