If TC go bust, DD booking paid by my CC

Mine, DH flight only was paid for by my CC
Did decided to come and we booked a week later.
The booking is in her name but paid for by my CC

Does anyone know if I will be able to get DD money back.

I have received my CC bill for ours which is due to be paid 28th sept
We haven’t received the bill with DD charges on yet.

We were going to celebrate DH 50th 😟

We are in the same position. We paid for our daughter, son and partners flights on our credit card.
I’m going to try and claim back on the card however I know our travel insurance covers end supplier failure so hopefully will get a refund one way or another 😳

I was unsure if the CC company would pay because the booking is in her name- fingers crossed they will

I am fairly sure that it will be refunded as the card is in your name, so effectively you paid for the flights. I know that on the Thomas Cook thread someone has said that they have activated section 75 for flights booked for others.

My mother paid for our Thomas Cook flights with her credit card. Both our names are on the booking. It’s probably 2am worries but we’d be able to claim Section 75?

If only your daughter's name is on the ticket and all the other "paperwork" from the airline this means the contract for the purchase is between your daughter and the airline. I think there might be a grey area as to whether your claim would be successful.

Will my CC pay if I can't fly home with TC? I am supposed to fly tomorrow. 🙈

Look at page 62 of Thomas Cook thread, it answers it on there, as long as it's your card then should not be a problem. You have paid for a service, it is your card

Working in the banking industry i know
You can claim back your direct debits via an indemnity claim for Lyme TS made in the last year but I would be on the phone to your bank in the morning as they will try to fight these claims but your covered
