We’re big Tracker fans but found his Star Wars vlogs a bit empty and felt a bit flat after watching. However, after watching other footage and Adam the Woo he is a real enthusiast and puts so much excitement into it I’m now absolutely looking forward to seeing it and just being there!

Tim Trackers live stream made me wonder if Disney had made a huge error of judgement in assuming SW fans would flock regardless of what they built as long as it was titled as a SW land. The proper vlog was better (but not much) however Adam the Woo’s vlog, he seems much more of a SW fan anyway, was far superior in ‘selling’ the area.
However, I’m not a SW fan so it was still all lost on me and most of it looked like a derelict factory in the desert!

It’s ok to feel like that , there’s enough variety in the parks fir everyone’s taste. I do think GE is getting the bashing though simply because it will be busy and popular so everyone thinks it will be unbearable ( probably will ) but how they think 2021 will be any better is questionable . At least Star Wars fans are turning up for GE not every park.star wars hotel , Ratatouille, guardians of the galaxy and Tron should be open then , Epcot should be ok but mk can’t cope now. Add in the deferred GE crowd and the 50th celebrations it will be manic.
They are also mentioning the Star Wars expansions ( maybe announced at d23) they know they can make it even bigger and better.

I've only watched Tim Tracker's vlog, I'm not a major Star Wars fan, but honestly, I think GE at Disneyland looks incredibly well done.

The reason is that they have had some problems with Rise of the Ristance ride and want to make sure it works correctly before opening it, no point having an otherwise completed area sitting there empty waiting until it’s ready. It’s best they get the ride working correctly first, look what happened when Escape from Gringotts opened at Universal, it was a nightmare for the first few months due to being rushed to open before they had it working correctly resulting in it having constant major technical issues.
Rise of the Risistance is reportedly one of the most technically advanced rides ever built. Edited at 10:25 AM. |

I am not a Star Wars fan at all and have only seen the original films but I thought it looks fantastic! The theming is on another level!
I would have loved to have been strolling round there with low crowds and just taking it all in |

What are the rides? I bet one is a cross between star tours and flights of passage.

None of the rides are like flight of passage
Smugglers Run: you fly the millennium falcon, its an interactive simulator ride best described ride system wise loosely as a cross between Star tours and Mission space (without the spinning) but a lot more technically advanced than those two rides. Rise of the Resistance: its a huge scale dark ride (the biggest Disney have ever built), the main ride portion will be on board trackless ride vehicles, will include lots of special effects inc animatronics, will be across two floors the ending is rumoured to feature a mini freefall drop as you escape.
