You've already had enough reassurance from DIBB regulars about how Alamo will recover the toll charge so please don't stress.

This is the unmanned toll at j2 off the 417 onto Celebration Avenue and as you will see, as others have said, the "Pay cash" lane is also Sunpass enabled.

I've come to an arrangement with Google. I pay them $50 a month and all the Dibbers who ask about toll plazas send me an appropriate contribution to our holiday fund.

I’m waiting for the coffee table book to be published.

I'm gathering new material every visit so it may be a few years until I have enough to warrant a coffee table tome. Maybe a brief self-published edition on Kindle?

In an effort to avoid the I-4 on our day out to Winter Park and Leu Gardens I guess that I collected half a dozen new plazas.

429, Turnpike, 408 then sadly a couple of miles on the Interstate that we couldn't avoid. Loads of Dibbers say so but I-4 around downtown Orlando is really evil these days. We wanted j87 but j86 and j87 are the same exit.. We soon corrected ourselves though.

Lane discipline on I-4 is horrendous. We saw cars doing lane 1 to lane 3 and back to lane 1 within 100 yards and all at 60+ MPH.

This happened to us last time we went. We were with Alamo. We expected a fine or a bill from Alamo but never got one. I think the toll was for 75 cent. So don’t worry x

I remember when we did this, I thought it was the crime of the century! We just got charged on our card a few weeks later and it wasn't much! I think it was all the alarms going off that scared me!

Is the 3.95 every time you go through one without paying with Alamo? Do all their cars have the Sun Pass. Haven't had an Alamo car in years but have one this year. Also haven't been through a toll on Florida without paying . Did in NYC last year in an Enterprise car (who now own Alamo) and got a 3.95 charge there (although heard nothing about the one I went through in Pennsylvania) so assume it's the same?

All explained here

https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/Car...mes-p-517.html

Alamo are one of the best schemes.

Basically Florida is "toll by plate" and doesn't work on transponders. Very rare to see an Alamo car from Florida with one. You basically trigger Sunpass by simply driving through any Sunpass lane.

The admin charge is triggered on a daily basis only so assume you drive through the Sunpass lane on the day you arrive at MCO and you use 417 to Celebration Avenue. From memory the three tolls are $1.75, $1.75 and £1. So you'll pay Alamo on your CC $4.50 for the tolls plus $3.95 admin maybe a month later.

Then one day you fancy a trip to the Loop and go via Osceola Parkway and the toll is maybe $2. Choose to pay cash and that's all you'll pay. Use the Sunpass lane though and Alamo will hit you with another $3.95 for that day. The Admin fee does top out at $19.75 for the rental period though if you fancy a toll road overload.
