Yes you can definitely go straight to the park. Technically the tickets and DDP are not "linked" to your magic band, technically the tickets, DDP and magic bands are all individually linked to your MDE account and a magic band is merely a means of checking what you have linked up to your account. Any magic band can be used to check what you have booked, I am planning to take last year's band with me so I can go straight to my room and avoid a potential check in queue if I arrive with forty others on the Magical Express.

We are doing a split stay, 8 nights at Poly & 7 at AKL. We won't have a car, didn't realise this was an option! So we can use bell services to move our bags between the resorts and we can then use Disney transport to get to AKL. Do we take our bags to reception or do bell services collect from your room?

They collect from your room for a tip.


My only advise is plan a long busy park day. If you are busy all day it works great. If by 3pm you are ready to head back to your room and it’s not available yet then it can be a frustrating experience. We tend to have a car so we drop off our cases and check in. I’d suggest Then getting some breakfast and then heading to a park a little later so you aren’t ready for our room too early.


We have spent time sat waiting by the pool for a room. That’s not fun when it starts to rain or you get too hot and no longer want to be at the pool.
