Portifino Bay booking but not sleeping there

Has anyone done this - booked a night so you can check in and get the express pass but not slept there?

Anything to be aware of?

Thanks

Is there a reason why you wouldn’t want to stay there? It’s a lovely resort and well worth a stay , just pack an overnight bag and off you go , u would need to check in to get ur express pass (which is your room key) so you would already be at the resort

I haven't but thinking of doing this next year.

We have booked one night and actually stayed in the room though. I cannot see it being a problem.
I cannot remember the check out
process, which I guess could be the only stumbling block.

We still have our room cards/express passes so I think we must have just left and check out was just assumed.

We are staying bat Cabana Bay during the week I want to book Hard Rock so we do not need the room.

Family of five so the regular rooms are tight. I guess we could just let the boys have a lads night (dad and 16 year old haha) just for the novelty of it.

Why not just book royal pacific as that’s always the cheapest for standard rooms?

Just to answer a few of the questions, it is Royal Pacific we are thinking of not Portifino so cheaper!

The reason we are thinking of doing this is we are already booked at cabana bay and have young kids so "an overnight"bag is much bigger than it might be with just adults once you think about cuddly toys!

Can you check out on line? I thought I saw that you could do this

We did this with HRH. Decided we’d just go back to the villa. Checked in, got our express passes and that was it.

We also did this at hrh. We went back to the hotel after the parks and told them we wouldn't be using the room. Parking was still valid for the following day
Eta- folp also remained valid for following day

I rarely check out of any hotel where I haven’t charged anything to the room. They’ll know you’re gone when housekeeping check the room and your stuff is gone.
