Day room at Hyatt after cruise?

We had to do this yesterday after getting off the dream. We arrived at MCO at 09.30 hoping to check our bags in with united, only to be told we couldn't do that until at least 15.00.
We were wanting to go to the mall for a few hours and obviously didn't want to take our cases
We walked straight up to the Hyatt, got a day room for $99 plus tax which came to $108. Told them there was children in our party so got kindly placed by the pool, but never got asked how many were in our party. There was 10 of us. It was a god send! Dumped all our cases, went shopping, came bag and re jigged cases and then chilled out till it was ready to check in! Will def use it again

If you loook on the Between 9and5 web site - the Hyatt MCO day room is coming out at just under £70.00...so $99 would seem the correct price.

We've decided to check our bags at DTD and head to the parks for the day instead as VH now has a bus going from DTD back to the airport at 4pm

Booked direct with Hyatt on their UK reservation number. Definitely booked a day room, as we discussed it quite a bit. I can book with 9-5 for $111 incl tax.

I'm going to email back the person i enquired with today by email & query price. If they come back & say its correct, then i will ask them to price match 9-5. If they won't, i'll cancel with Hyatt & rebook with 9-5

Just a quick update. I emailed Hyatt querying the cost since they had already quoted me $99 plus I could book with 9-5 for that cost.

They have emailed me back a new booking confirmation with the amended price!

$50 extra spending money for me!

Sorry to keep bouncing this, but thought I should let everyone know.

As well as my new invoice, I also got an email from Orlando Hyatt explaining why the charge was $149.

Apparently the room rate of $99 is based on two adults sharing. Each additional adult in the room will be charged at $25

On this occasion, they will honour the rate of $99 x

I had heard this too, but I think the secret is not to tell them how many people. If you get caught, don't complain, if you get away with it .. Bargain!
