Dining plan question

We have decided we might bring forward our 2020 trip from December to April. As we are there in September, I am also toying with the idea of upgrading to annual pass (although the recent price hike might deter me).

Anyway, whilst I figure this out, would I be able to just book the room for now and if I decide against annual pass, I can add tickets to my booking later and hence getting the free dining plan? My dates would be outside the Easter blackout. I would make the annual pass decision during my September trip.

This should be fine but will depend on availability at the resort you want. You may need to switch resorts to get free dining.

The answer is no

Free dining (UK) is only avalaible for new bookings

if you book a room (room only) now, on the UK site, you'll face cancellation fees for that room, and will need to make a new booking (if offer is still live, and there is availability)

the only way you can do this, is book free dining now, with only one person on the booking (�50 deposit instead of �50 times number of guests) then add the other guests when you've decided against AP

and if you go for AP, you can either amend your free dining resevation and turn it into room only, paying the �50 amendment fee

you can change a free dining into a room only (fee) but you can't change a room only into a free dining

you could add tickets and dining (pay for it) but free dining is only available with new bookings
