Narcoosee's Waterfront Sunday Brunch
This trip we went to Narcoosee's Sunday Brunch at the Grand Floridian for the first time (but not the last, I hope). As Narcoosee's is a signature restaurant and we were on the dining plan, we used 2 table service credits each. The cost is $69 + tax per person (+ gratuity of course). There were no children there when we were, but there is children's pricing on the menu. It's not a buffet as we've come to expect from a brunch but oh, my it's lovely!
We went from the MK on the water transport, and arrived at the restaurant at 11.15am, 15 minutes early but were shown directly to our table, next to a window and looking over the lake and towards the castle in the distance. The waiter explained the menu then brought us iced water and 2 cafetieres of coffee. Included in the brunch are Bloody Mary, Mimosas and Prosecco. You can have only one Bloody Mary which are huge and topped with a crab leg, bacon, celery etc, but the Mimosas and Prosecco are bottomless - yes you heard correctly, the price of the breakfast is almost covered by the price of drinks! We chose Mimosas as they are light enough for 11.30am, and he brought us 2 and a basket of pastries, while we looked at the menu. You order appetisers and entrees but you are encouraged - at least we were - to try other dishes, a bit like being on a cruise. I ordered Salmon Rillette and DH ordered Crab and Corn Bisque and the waiter also brought us Shrimp and Grits as I said it sounded lovely. It was! Our entrees were Lobster Eggs Benedict, Steak and Eggs - and again he brought out another plate of Berry French Toast. Our Mimosa glasses were hardly allowed to get emptied before he brought another one, and another one, and another one ... By the time the shared dessert plate was brought, along with 2 more cafetieres of coffee we couldn't move. Everything we had was delicious, the service was faultless and the whole morning was a joy. Go, if you get the chance!

I'm sure you will love it. We'll definitely go again next year if it's still on.

Ooh it all looks lovely, we’re thinking of going to Narcosees on our next trip, will give the brunch serious consideration rather than dinner

Oh wow, I've seen a few brunch reports recently at california grill, but not Narcoosees. This looked fab from the photos the food looks gorgeous. And bottomless Prosecco or mimosa. Wow. I'm not going to be able to fit in any theme park time on our next trip at this rate.

Has anyone done both the CG and Narcoosees brunches? At the moment I'm thinking a CG brunch and Narcoosees dinner but open to the idea of switching

We checked out both brunch menus and DH doesn't like sushi or some if the other buffet choices at CG, he preferred this a la Carte menu.

This looks lovely, another one to add to my list! I don't know how we are going to finally cut our long-short list down 😀
I love Grand Floridian so this could be the perfect way to start my birthday next year. |
