Sinus infection

Ok, so I have googled my symptoms and self diagnosed myself haha!
Anyone had one of these, I have a bit of a temp and a cold but the left side of my face from my eye down to my cheek feels kind of 'tingly' as if it's bruised? It's hard to explain. Had to remove my contact lens on Sat night as it was irritating my eye.
Am I right in thinking its a sinus infection? Feeling a bit crappy tbh, luckily it's the school holidays so I'm off work anyway.
Not looking for medical advice just if anyone has experienced the same symptoms as I've never had them before.

Yes sounds like your sinuses, I have had them a few times (last when in Florida on holiday ) and they make you feel really unwell. Nothing GP will give you unless it lasts for 2 weeks. Thing that worked best for me was putting olbas oil in boiling water and inhaling and also using a beconase nasal spray (recommended by GP) to lessen the irritation in the sinuses. Aw thank you, I've taken paracetamol and feel a bit better. Enough to start clearing out the hovel that is my wardrobe but starting to wilt again so think I need to sit down and watch tv for a bit I would feel miserable if it happened in Florida, poor you xx
