Deluxe Extra Evening Hours
Trying to figure out how much of a benefit there would be to the extra evening magic hours. Quiet enough to get in the headliners without much of a wait? We gave up on the extra evening hours last hols as the big rides were still mobbed.
So, just trying to work out how much quieter they’re likely to be. Any thoughts? |

At a guess, the headliner rides can take a good 90 mins for the "normal" visitors to work the way through the queue so for 2hours extra the benefits are for the non headliners and you will ride many of those with maybe 1 or 2 headliners in final 45mins, if its 3 hours and you stay for the final 90mins than that will be very good especially as those allowed to be there are comparatively small.

The problem we found with emh is that there is already a long line for them when emh starts

Deluxe and DVC make up a third of the available onsite rooms. So it will be quieter than previous EMH but not event level quiet. And as mentioned, they'll still need to get through everyone already in the queue so you don't get the full two hours of deluxe only queues anyway.
I would do the sums of staying at a cheaper similar quality resort and paying for an after hours ticket compared to staying at a deluxe. |

How do Disney know who is eligible to stay for the EMH ? How do they clear the park of the guests that aren’t eligible?
Just wondering 🤔 |

Scan through the Fastpass lane will do it. Of course people won’t necessarily have magic bands now so will have to be pulling phones out, some won’t have the app etc.

It’s got worst every time we visited. In 2007 we did a couple of EMH as we knew we were having a relaxing water park/shopping day the next. We did Epcot and managed to do every attraction in world showcase (that was still open) but then it was 3 hrs extra. The following year it was a bit more busier as more guests were staying on site but still got on most of the attractions we wanted to. We next went in 2011 and it was cut to 2 hrs we watched the fireworks and by the time we got from world showcase to future world we only managed to get on Mission Space, Test track and Spaceship earth. We never used it in 2016 as many days we had left by 8 so my DD could be in bed for 9 as our alarm went off most mornings at 7am.
