Email from BA ref August flights - thoughts?

We got the email too but we've booked with AA and are flying with BA so surely AA have to issue refund/voucher

I had the same email for the 1st August gat to orlando. They have cancelled the 31st July so mine should be next hopefully. If they allowed us one voucher to use instead of three separate ones I would take it. But my daughter can't go next year so stuck waiting for cancellation.

I have received the same email, we are due to fly to Nashville 18th August. We have only paid a deposit on our flights so far, the balance is due at the end of the month
Do you think they will provide a voucher for the £300 deposit or will we lose this if we don’t pay the balance?
I am very confused and don’t know what to do for the best?

I received the same email back in May, 2 weeks before my July holiday was cancelled by them.

Got ours too Gatwick to Tampa 12th August. We don't want a voucher so will wait a bit longer

This is a ploy by BA to keep the money in the company by offering a voucher rather than giving a refund. I for one will be waiting for our flight to Tampa on the 15th August to be cancelled to get my money back. Cases of covid have risen by over 5000 in the past few days, I can see the lockdown in Florida re introduced pretty soon.

I had the same email for Tampa flight 24th August, but hanging on hoping for a cancellation.

We did too, we can't guarantee that a trip before april 2022 is going to be possible so will hang on and hope the situation rapidly improves.

I got same email today, BA holiday package Heathrow to JFK with hotel 24-28th August. I too thought along the same lines as others have, but have decided to wait a little longer for cancellation and refund.
