Evenings in the parks... parades/ fireworks etc

I'm going in Oct and trying to plan my itinerary around possible Halloween parties etc!

I haven't been before and I'm getting confused about the different type of parades/ firework displays there are, could someone break it down for me in a nutshell?! Or suggest a link to look at?

I know there's a parade and fireworks at MK on non Halloween party days (and a Halloween one on party days of course but I haven't planned for a party day... yet ) but how about the other parks? I know Epcot does fireworks too, is there a parade to see? And the other Disney parks? And is it always just before park closing time?

Thanks so much, all advice appreciated, I suspect the evenings/ fireworks will be the highlight of our trip so want to factor in some good evening entertainment!

And a follow up question

We are staying onsite... does the parade/ fireworks happen during evening EMH or before when all guests are in the park?

Yes, with EEH, the fireworks will be on for everyone, before the extra hours.

MK currently has an afternoon parade and will have evening fireworks = Happily Ever after.
During MNSSHP nights, there will only be special Halloween fireworks (yet to be announced).

Epcot has Illuminations - usually on a 9pm. There will also be the Food and Drink festival which makes the weekends VERY busy at Epcot.

HS has Fantastic fireworks and Star Wars fireworks.

AK has Rivers of light - in the lake.
