Question Visa waiver form

Hi everyone. can anyone please help? I have today received a little info pack from DCL about our upcoming cruise in Aug. It states in it that you will need the normal green waiver form but also states you need a multiple visit waiver form. Can anyone tell me is this sorted out at checkin on the cruise or do we need to do that before we go? Also it said you need photo id to get off ship at the stops. Can just your passport be used? Thanks Charlotte x

Hi Charlotte.

I got that pack today too!

I did wonder about the visa waiver form too as this is our first cruise so I will be interested in the replies.

When we have sailed with Disney in the past (last time in 2008) it has been sufficient that you just had your normal British passport ... with those green waiver bits stapled in them ...but whether things have changed due to the new ESTA I cannot say (nor possibly will other past cruisers ... unless they have sailed since then). I think you are best to seek more advice from DCL in this instance ..and please report back any information if you don't mind

There are however some Bahamian (and depending on the itinery possibly other) immigration forms to be filled, which may be done on line in advance, or at the terminal (with people to help you).

As far as ID for leaving the ship we always used a photocopy of our passports (in the days when DCL used to retain all foreign passport for the duration of the cruise) or use a photo ID drivers licence. They will photocopy your passport at the terminal if you ask them.
However on our last cruise we did use our actual passports (except for Castaway Cay), but namely because we went a bit further afield than the Bahamas, and did an excursion that took us well away from the ship... should the worst happen (ie miss the ship getting back) we did not fancy being stranded in a foreign country like Mexico, without our passports !

We have just got back. I completed the online checkin and we had the green visa waiver forms and we didn't need to complete anything else. We did take our passports off the ship as ID. You need to get your key to the world card scanned going off and on the ship, and they also take a photo of you at checkin which they compare against you and your photo id going on and off the ship. HTH.

My DCL pack came on Saturday too (yay ! ), so I guess we all must be sailing around the same time (we're sailing 16th/20th August )

We've got driving licence cards that we use as ID (I don't like the idea of carrying our passports around)
