Sorry to ask something completely different - but rather than start a new thread... can someone explain what the seating is like are u sat on your own completely ? My DD will be 13 but does get rather nervous trying new rides, she’s ok when sat with someone and I know what she’ll like and what she won’t. Seeing as i haven’t done FOP yet I won’t know.
Is it same sort of ‘film’ like soarin but a lot more thrilling? What would you think the thrill level is for it? If she got there and didn’t want to do it can she wait inside for me and DH? I wouldn’t want to leave her outside. |

You sit next to each other there is one row so Dd should sit between you both
For me if soaring is a 7 for thril then FOP is 100! It's not scary, it is so hard to describe you are flying through Pandora and can feel the wind in your hair and the banchee is breathing under you I didn't want it to end I could of rode it for hours lol And yes if anyone changes their mind like every ride you can just wait to the side

They’re very strict on the restraint being tight.
I rode it a few days ago and the cast member went round to ensure everyone’s back restraint was as tight as it can get. You’re locked in a forward squat like you’re riding a motorcycle. It’s fairly comfortable. |

I'm glad this was asked OP as I've been thinking the same. I REALLY want to ride it but worried I won't fit into the restraints, in 5'5 and a size 20 on the bottom, with normal sized calves so I'm hoping I'll be ok, definetly going to have to try out the test seat before!

I really worried before I went but when you see the size of some getting on it you'll have no problem

No you have to keep your hands on the bar as you have the connection with your Banchee plus I think I did hold DH hand for a second but you do have to keep hands on the bar's

The vehicles inside the ride are relatively close together but although I haven't been on it it appears to move quite a bit so you will want to hold on rather than holding hands with someone else. I had the same worries about Ds2 and Forbidden Journey as I wouldn't even be able to see him in the ride seat, he was more than fine.

Does it lift off the floor or juggle about? I’m concerned about feeling sick but I would really like to try it!

Back issues - I suffer badly but had no problems on it. You aren't bent as far forward as on a sports motorbike, more like a normal motorbike.
I was fine and I have to be really careful or I end up in a back spasm. So in my view is it's fine. Does it slam into your back? No. It comes up quickly but not a slam. To me it is Soarin on steroids. Best ride I have done in my life.
