Rider swaps with fastpasses?
Hi all
Trying to get my head around the fastpass and rider swap with a toddler who does hold a ticket. There will be 5 of us, 3 adults one child one toddler who will not be tall enough for some of the rides. Can we just book all 5 fastpasses, then three go on, then the child come on a second time using toddlers band so that I get a ride companion? Or do we have to do rider swap? Thank you Hope that made sense |

If you all have fastpasses for the ride then you don't need to use Rider Switch. You split into two groups. The first group goes on using their fastpasses whilst the second group looks after the toddler. Then, afterwards, the second group goes on using their fastpasses whilst the first group looks after the toddler. No Rider Switch is needed.
However, if you can't all get fastpasses for the ride and you do decide to use Rider Switch, then... The first group goes on using their fastpasses whilst the second group looks after the toddler. Then, afterwards, the second group goes on using their Rider Switch passes whilst the first group looks after the toddler. Only the first group needs fastpasses. The second group must consist of 3 people or less (the Rider Switch pass only allows a maximum of 3 people to ride). See Disney's Rider Switch page for more info: disneyworld.disney.go/en.../rider-switch/ BTW, Disney are currently rolling out an electronic Rider Switch system where the Rider Switch passes are loaded onto your MDE account. There may be a few other changes as well.

Do you mean booking a fast pass for the toddler who is too small for the child to then use while riding with the second adult?
If so, then yes you can do this. It might not be the best use of your fastpasses though. It all depends how the new digital rider switch pans out. |
