I’m starting to stress about the pre-departure tests! Ideally we want to do an in person supervised one, and I think our nearest option is B’ham airport (about 45 minutes drive). Am I being overly cautious, or would the at home tests be ok? I’m also not clear on whether me and DH can use our Covid Recovery QR code in lieu of a test?

Also realised this morning that there is no where in T5 at Heathrow to have a meal before security - so have booked a table at the Restaurant at the Sofitel (where we are staying).

I can recommend the pre departure test at Birmingham Airport. My son had a pcr there for our half term holiday. I found it very stressful when we had to post tests for the result in the summer holiday so it was great not to have the worry again.

We are also 45 mins away and will be taking our pre departure tests there for our Xmas flight to Tampa.

I have just booked our pre departure tests this morning. I have booked the in person ones at Glasgow airport. For the sake of a little extra ( I know it makes a difference for families, there’s only 2 of us ) I prefer the peace of mind of not having to post.
The only thing is that I’m flying back up from London that morning so getting mine when I land and my dh is getting his earlier on his way to work. I would have liked us to both go together but this is more practical.

Does anyone know when the NYE fireworks are on in Epcot? The park is open until midnight - so does that mean the fireworks will be on at midnight or are they on earlier? I can't find the info out. If it is isn't confirmed yet - what has happened in previous years?
Thanks

Have watched videos as we are in Epcot for NYE, and previous years they are at midnight. Also be in the UK pavilion for 7pm as there are likely to be fireworks there for UK where it will be midnight at that moment.

We are between East Midlands and Birmingham and used Randox at EMA for Canada a few weeks ago and couldn’t fault it. Might book collinsons at EMA at Xmas as they are open a little later. I prefer an in person one before we fly but will book home one for day 2.

It’s a 5 hour tour where you see the Christmas offerings, lights at Hogwarts. , the Macy’s parade, the Grinchmas show etc All these things are available anyway but for us we don’t have much time at Universal and Christmas is the main reason for us going to Universal this time

Thank you! We haven't got park tickets until 1st Jan so was thinking of watching from the Boardwalk.
