just back highs highs more highs

We landed in Newcastle yesterday via Aer Lingus and this was a great flight both in and out of Newcastle especially clearing immigration at Dublin this was definitely a plus point.

We hired a car via Andy from discount Florida Car hire and it was a breeze and price was well under what anyone else quoted and excellent communication.

As we only had 10 days this trip which was mainly for halloween horror nights we stayed at the Cabana Bay resort at universal. We have stayed at hard Rock, Portofino and royal pacific in the past and I must say this hotel was by far the best out of them. well laid out with great staff and amenities. Brian at Swizzles bar pours a mean drink and is excellent craic. I can't recommend this hotel enough especially the early entry to volcano bay via hotel entrance.

Volcano bay is amazing with the early entry system we had done all the major ride before the park opened to the general public which left the rest of the day to relax and choose what we wanted to do at our leisure. The food was very nice and the tapu tapu worked great for us.

The weather was brill with only 1 overnight shower for us so this did not affect our plans at all.

Halloween horror nights was amazing and we stayed in the park and did the holding zone thing and managed to get all the houses done in 2 trips and then chose the best of them to re visit on our third trip. We loved the scare zones and the whole atmosphere was brilliant. Such a shame its the last ever Bill and Ted but the show was very funny and thoroughly enjoyed it. Academy of villainss was top class as well

Food was excellent as always and we ate well and used coupons and vouchers this trip and ate late lunches which worked out better for us especially at Olive Gardens and Bahama Breeze as their lunch menu is great value for money and we then headed into he parks to do Halloween Horror nights.

Sounds great. We are staying at Cabana Bay this time next year.

Did you think the water at Volcano Bay was warm as I've seen a few comments saying it was cold.

We thought that the temperature of the water park was no different to any other outdoor water park in Florida that we have visited. Hope that helps. We did have interconnecting rooms at the hotel and stayed in the continental block if that helps any

Sounds like a great trip. My eldest son and hubby loved HHN when they went last trip, it's too scary for me
