Thank you

I'm counting down to booking the wedding in December at the moment, it's all a bit quiet.

Been asked by a few people about 'the dress' but I'm a bit scared to go shopping yet! I'm not very good at choosing clothes like that!

I think when you know, you know... I took my 7yr old son with me who helped me pick out my dream dress... I loved it and loved that he was with me

Aww that's really lovely

I've seen a few online that I like, but I need to go try some on really. A few people have offered to go with me - I think the more the merrier!

Well my youngest older sister (If that makes sense?! I am the youngest of four girls) phoned last night and said that they don't think they'll be able to go to Florida as the flights are too expensive (They'll only fly direct)

Bit sad about it, but it's not totally unexpected

Is it me or are the flight prices MAD for August next year?!

(EDIT: I just found a cheeky deal on a BA Flydrive for her to Miami and have text it to her... ! )

Edited at 09:30 AM.

Don't be scared, round up an entourage and make some appointments. The ladies in bridal shops are so good at what they do - they will ask you what you have in mind but they will also select dresses which they think will suit you. If they don't do this or you don't find something which you like then go somewhere else. I went to 3 stores with a fair idea of what I wanted and they did this in each of them, and ultimately my dress isn't what I thought I wanted but I love it.

Thanks - the silly thing is there is a bridal shop on the end of my road and I haven't managed to pluck up the courage to go in yet!

Prime example of this - I have a formal dinner on Friday and I had to take a friend with me shopping on Saturday to help me choose a dress for it. I've lost a bit of weight/toned up recently so nothing, especially my old dresses, fit nicely. My friend says that I am still looking for dresses for the 'old me' and things I wanted to hide etc (Like my stomach! lol). I think that's why I am subconsciously putting off wedding dress shopping?

I wasn't going to post this ... but ... what the hell! lol

My 'before' and 'after' pics - left one was 2 weeks ago, right one was 3 years ago...

You look fab - well done. You could probably wear a bin bag and look great so finding a wedding dress will be a dream! I know what you mean about shopping for your old self - I did that when I shed a couple of stone right down to looking for my old size on the rail (not a problem now though cos I've put a tonne of weight back on).

Just throw yourself into the hands of the bridal store ladies and see what they find for you - though I'll warn you it's a lot more tiring than you'd expect

Thank you - think I just need to bite the bullet and go looking!
