When we were kids about 9 or 10 we'd all nick a big potato each. We'd go down to the fields by the canal and one of the lads (gone now sadly) would bring his dads paraffin camp stove and me and my brother would bring 2 packs of Lard and a big saucepan and tray. We'd peel and cut up the spuds and cook em! Best chips ever!

Oven chips maybe 3 times a month although I can’t remember when we last had them. We haven’t had a chippy since October- haven’t found one near us yet!

Before I answer can someone please confirm that chips, curly fries, french fries, chip shop chips, ActiFry chips and oven chips are all separate food groups?
If so once a week at the very most👍 |

Never ever had chips at home before we got an airfryer!
Now we have very low fat (quick spray of olive oil) about once a week on average. Not the same as chip shop chips though which we have a couple of times a year. (ALWAYS attempting some diet or other so would be more often if I wasn't a little bit Pooh-shaped ) Can't beat them!

I have chips rarely, usually if we have a takeaway or eat out but I almost never have them at home. I think I've had them maybe twice this year so far.
I much prefer rice or pasta! |

We have chips probably twice a week on average, proper home made chips in the chip pan, can’t be doing with oven chips, were having chips for tea tonight with sausage, egg & beans, we have chippy sometimes too, you can’t beat a Brown crispy home made chip 😍

Normally once every two weeks, sometimes once a week. But a few weeks ago we had chips twice in one day - ops!
