Avis v Budget at Tampa airport
Just been price checking Avis/ Budget cars at Tampa airport
Big difference in prices for same car Both seem to give all the required insurances What are your thoughts on Budget

I have gone Budget from Tampa as part of a flydrive with BA, would be interested in peoples opinions also, I can only see the difference of having to go to the counter with Budget.
Also, looks like Budget cover your partner only as a second driver rather than Avis cover via Ba Exec Club |

I have used budget more than any other company and that is because I have never had a problem with them. This engenders loyalty. I must also add that Avis and Budget are two arms of the same company.
Having said that, I would add the following caveats to my recommendation. 1. I have never taken a car from MCO, rather the Holiday Inn Universal when in Orlando (after a couple of days in Universal RPR, where I don’t need it, saving on both hire and parking), or from other airports and locations across both East and West seaboards. I have seen reports of sharp practice at the MCO desk.. (let’s call it deception). I would use that desk, but print across the form “I have taken no changes, Satnav or upgrades whatever whilst at the airport” and sign it. 2. I want a clean, serviceable, low mileage car of at least the group that I have paid for. I have no interest in Colour, Model or anything else. I am not a car snob. Just as well because frequently on arrival, I have a choice of.., one. That is often an upgrade on what I booked. Again, I endorse the agreement form. 3. I have never received an excess bill. Having said that, before you do anything, contact Andy at DFCH. He will advise you, even if he doesn’t get the deal and his service is absolutely beyond reproach, hence the huge loyalty of Dibbers. He may well also beat your best price whilst giving the professional reassurance that comes with him.

I would always go to Andy for a price
Not had a car from him yet but did hire a Satnav once Will all depend on flight only against fly drive prices
