Ba Avis car hire

I have a flydrive group W booked for August and need to upgrade to a 7 seater group L.
We paid Ł481 in the package and the same car is now Ł1251

the group L is now Ł1329, wondering if I will have to pay the difference on what I paid or the price difference now?
Just trying to get an idea as its expensive for me to call them from Portugal.

Wow! Sorry I have no direct experience but that’s a big price difference. Would it be cheaper to just hire a second (smaller) car which would then give your travel party flexibility during your stay, and give you a little more boot space for bags?
Alternatively you may need to brace and call BA to check current pricing or deals.

I dont drive and the rest of our party are all teens 🙈
So only the one driver. I just went on BA live chat and if I want to upgrade now to a group L it will cost Ł848 😳
So it is the cost of the car ar the moment minus the cost you paid originally! Wow

Would you be able to get a refund on your current booking? If so, drop me a message with your dates and I'll see what I can do.

Hi Andy, I'm not sure as we booked a flydrive package with BA? I can apply for a voucher and rebook the holiday but it's nearly doubled in price for my dates! Will send you a pm now anyways thanks.

Change the car to the smallest possible for 1 day and not pick it up maybe?

If that would work it would keep it as a package and free you up to get a car from Andy.
