Universal premier hotels and tickets

Apologies if this is this is a stupid question, can you buy your hotel and tickets on separate sites? Portofino is cheaper on booking.com but we'd want to buy the 14 day tickets which we can't on that site, so will probably buy these on Attractions ticket direct. Would there be problems linking the express passes is the express pass bit entirely separate?

Would 2 nights on site be enough to do most rides? We're planning to visit in second week as well but we'd like to get majority of rides done while on site.

Lastly looking at Portofino, but royal Pacific also looks nice, much difference between the two?

Thank you !

Hey no problem at all, we always buy our 2 week tickets from 3rd parties and our hotel stay elsewhere. As you get 2 days front of line passes for each night, the day you check in and the day you check out, why not have 2 separate nights that way you get 4 days of passes instead of 3, it's what we do and it makes both stays really good fun. Only ever stayed at hard Rock so can't help with the last question.

Express pass is totally separate, it's just your room key with a scanner code on the back which gets you down the Express Line.

Two nights/three days with Express should be fine for getting on all rides.

No idea, I usually stay at HRH.

We did 1 night giving us 2 days of express passes in Aug 2019 and managed to do both parks without any issue, so 2 nights 3 days should be more than plenty.

We have done 1 night at HRH and RPR in the past and managed to get everything done in the 2 days
If you are thinking of doing 2 nights I would do what Rozzyb suggested and get 4 days of FOLP

I’ve stayed at all 3 premier onsite hotels and we are going back to the Hard Rock again in October as it’s the nearest to the parks. We had 4 nights at the Portofino bay last time we went and it’s a beautiful hotel, the rooms are bigger and nicer than Royal pacific. Having said that we also had 4 nights at the royal pacific 4 years ago and enjoyed that too. If there if a big difference in price I would go for the Royal pacific as it has everything you need but if its only a small difference then Portofino or Hard Rock.

We are thinking of booking 1 night at Royal Pacific for the Express pass.

In the past we have paid for the Uk 14 day ticket but managed to get both parks done in 2 days so we plan on buying a 2 day (+2 days free) ticket from undercover tourist.

Also, is it right that if you are staying only 1 night you get free hotel parking?

No free parking at the hotel, but you would only pay for one night ($25?) instead of two days park parking, so its cheaper
