The link I’ve posted above includes test centres that are free and don’t require you to have symptoms. Of course things can change but good to know there are options available at the moment.

Also if you do test positive for covid where will you go.
Will the airport arrange travel to a specially selected hotel. All seems like extra stress and even having the 2 covid vacines it won't stop you getting it |

No that would be like asking if a British person today wants to fly to a country that requires a positive test and they test neg will Heathrow or the UK government get them accommodation. No. When countries have mandatory hotel quarantine they escort people entering their country to the MQHs.
You would have to sort yourself out and follow the guidelines set by Florida at the time. |

Yes and it's good practice regardless. I know it's not ideal for those who save and save just to afford the holiday and it does make travel easier for those better off but you never know when travelling what could go wrong. From a car accident, to an ash cloud to a health emergency to missing your flight for something outside your control but not covered by insurance and having a credit card (ideally) or extra cash is an absolute essential for me for a US trip.

Not necessarily savings or a good credit card ... more good insurance!
Some Travel insurance will cover the cost of a hotel/accommodation if you test positive and have to self isolate i think! |

This is very true - as soon as the insurer starts to pay for your hotel accommodation, it will be of a budget variety and in a location of their choosing.
If you think back to the Icelandic ash-cloud in 2010 which stranded people in Florida, many people were put up in the Comfort Inn [which became known as "Camp Comfort"] on I-Drive as soon as the insurer had to foot the bill. Many people on here were somewhat vocal & unhappy on this, as they'd had their 2 weeks at, say, Disney's Grand Floridian [which they had paid for] and then were being moved to somewhere rather more budget-orientated when the insurer or tour operator [for those on package holidays] was footing the bill. |

As 400ixl said, this is the scenario I’m anticipating. I assumed it would be the same as with most insurances.. you pay then claim back and hopefully the insurance pays out.
