Bag drop off
We are flying with Virgin for the first time in November and believe you can do a bag drop off at Disney Springs for the journey back.
My questions are; how long before your flight must you do this and also do they give you your boarding pass at the same time. We are bringing an extra bag back, as you do, but believe you can only book this in at check in on the way back , is this correct. Thanks in advance Edited at 08:28 PM. |

You can indeed check your luggage in at DS on the day of your flight. It's open between 08.15 and 13.00. What time you get there is completely up to you. You just need to allow enough time to get back to MCO where you go straight through security. When we do it we usually allow 3 hours anyway as even though you don't queue at the check in desk we tend to have a meal airside first.
If you've booked through VH or flying UC or a Gold FC member it's free. Otherwise it's $10 p/p. Can't help on extra baggage though. Does the Virgin Atlantic website help? Mick

I like a challenge.
I've got this far. Seems to suggest that you can add extra luggage when (and if) you do OLCI. Trouble is you can't do OLCI with VS now until 24 hours before your flight. virginatlantic/in/en/...vice-fees.html Mick

You can book the extra case on line before you go to Disney Springs, its cheaper this way.

Just noticed that I missed a bit of your question.
Yes you get your boarding cards at DS check-in. All passengers have to be present. Mick

Just to confirm earlier post - you can book the extra bag at OLCI and pay online with a card. When you get to Disney Springs, just five over all your bags and mention you have an extra one that you've already paid for. I had the confirmation email ready to prove this but they didn't need - I'm assuming they can see it all on the system.
