John Cooper Works Mini
Anyone got one of these and use them as an everyday car?
I'm thinking of buying a second hand one just not sure how practical it will be. Thanks Louise

Are you talking a ‘real’ John Cooper works from the 1960s or a BMW ?

Fantastic fun to drive and without doubt the coolest car brand in the world currently. Practical? Nah!

Weve just sold ours. I renamed it the mini money pit. Fun to drive but not practical and boy when they go wrong they go wrong.

I was toying with the idea of an electric Mini for a while, until sense kicked in. They look so cool but at over £32k for the one I was looking it, it was just a bit crazy. Plus I am 5ft 10 and my DS is 6ft 4 and still growing so I think we would have a bit of a tight fit for space.

Depends what you mean by practical? Never had a John Cooper works but had a Mini Cooper convertible for two years and was easily my favourite car. Reliable, reasonable to run and just so easy on the eye. Never had any issues with it and would never have changed it if I hadn’t changed my jobs and would be spending a lot more time on the motorway. Fantastic everyday car IMO 😍

It could depend on the mileage, at 100 000 miles it does need a expensive service, see wheeler dealers or look up hoovies garage they both dealt with a high mileage car

Depends on if your getting new or 2nd hand most people will buy due to them being pocket rockets so expect 2nd hand cars to have been abused a little. Great little cars but I wouldn’t touch an old one as the chances are it’s been thrashed a little.
