July or August 2012 flight price thread

Booked through Asda travel flights for 4 adults and 3 children 23 august - 6th sept total price of £2384 (£340 each) flying with bmi (operated by continental)

Just booked flights from Glasgow to MCO via newark for £392 13/6 until 4/7 next year, little extra for cc charge and airline failure. Sister in law has got 3 weeks start of July also just over £415 excellent prices from glasgow and edinburgh at that time

Although I'm looking at June, the flight prices for the non-direct flights have come down over £300 each in the last 24 hours, flying from Manchester to MCO in the first week of June!

Wheras Monarch are £500pp direct, Virgin £625... Indirect is now £360... On the way there it's not a problem, but on the way back it'd mean flying to Frankfurt in Germany then back to Manchester making it a 16 hour (flight) day (leaving MCO 8pm, arriving in Manchester 5pm the following day)... I don't think the rest of the people in my group would go for that, although it would save well over £1k between us all!

Annoyingly, the Monarch flights were £480 so have gone up £20 in the last 5 days grrrr

Im soooooooooooooooo pleased---we werent supposed to be going next year either! Especially cos hubby may be being made redundant nxt June!

However---again thanks to the Dibb we have booked with Last minute via Kayak 2ad 2ch 6th-22nd August 2012 LHR-frankfurt-MCO for £1610 ----- absolutely brilliant! Great flight times too!

4th year Running---I consider myself to be sooooo lucky!

Just doing the same for 24th July to 14th August - £1728 for 5 of us!

Just booked for 5 of us all adults now. 26th July x3 LHR - MCO via New York and 1st August x 2 LHR - MCO via Frankfurt all coming back via Washington 15th August with Contiental/United for just over £1900. Brilliant! £1000 less than for 4 of us this year! Never booked this early before.

We were not going to go next year, but just booked from 26.07.11 to 16.08.11 for 1, 500 pounds, could not help it.
I have to go and tell DH now.. soon

I'm loving the prices coming in for the dates I want (10th -26th Aug) but don't like the journey lengths to get those prices. Outbound 16hrs+, inbound 21+ for £450 each.

Although non of us would willingly do trips of this length, it's giving me hope that other flights with better durations will soon be available.

Here's hoping.
