Child to Adult DDP? (not booked with Disney)

Hi,

We booked BC with ATD and flights separately with BA.

From what I can see after searching the forums am I correct in believing that I won't be able to upgrade my 7yo's child plan to an adult plan?

She has an great appetite, even more so than her 12 yo brother and if both had an adult DDP then I'm sure we could do a few more character breakfasts, 2 credit restaurants and buy a few meals oop when they just fancy a kids meal.

Has anyone managed to do this without having booked with WDTC? Perhaps with a UK TA or at check in?

We've already paid balance and go on 30th June so not sure if it's too late either.

Not hopeful but thought I'd check.

All you need to do is change her date of birth with ATD to make her 10 and pay the difference for an adult ticket. I've read of other TAs doing it so no harm in asking.
