Magic bands ? Should they display on MDE?

Sorry so many questions relating to tickets but I’ve managed to link my tickets and assign them on MDE but it says something about magic bands and them being visible ? As far as I’m aware we get our magic bands automatically when we check in to all stars ? Is that correct ? Should they be visible on my account now besides the admission card showing for each of us or will they just appear on the app once we have checked in in December for our stay ? Does that mean we can just use our magic bands instead of cards once we are there ?

Also when I do click in FastPass on the app now my tickets are linked ( I know I can’t book fast pass until 60 days before for our trip as we are on site ) it shows me the next 30 days only not 60? Is this because we don’t have a reservation to stay now and will this correct in December when I log back in and show me 60 days in advance ? Or am I doing something wrong and is it not recognising I’m staying on site

Have you linked your all stars reservation to MDE? If so, they should show up on MDE so that you can customise them (choose colour, add a name/nickname).

Firstly, you need your accommodation linked to MDE in addition to your park tickets.
Once this is done you will be able to customise your magic bands using the app to pick colours and add your names to them. These bands will then appear on the MDE app allocated to each of your party.
You will only need the bands, no need to carry the cards.

When I log in it shows my hotel automocally I never actually linked it but shows my reservation and that the 4 of us are staying there ? But no magic bands ?

Because you bought your tickets and room separately, MDE treats them completely independently. Although it knows you're going in December, the tickets you've linked could be used for a trip before then, so you'll be able to view fastpasses for 30 days right up until 60 days before you check in. MDE knows when you'll be checking in and will see valid tickets, so open up the 60 day mark. Up until then it will show as 30 days.

If you're booked them as part of a package, then the tickets are directly linked to your check in date, so it won't even let you view fastpasses until you hit your 60 day mark. As yours were booked separately, you can have some practice runs with booking if you'd like to - just remember to cancel them

You should be able to log in to My Disney Experience and select "MagicBands and Cards" to see the bands and customise them.

Ah fab to know. Thank you. Was having a mini panic I’d done something wrong lol this app is all new to me MDE. Lol is it a rush to book them wen the 60 days opens ? I’ve never used fast pass before. U just book the rides or greets that would be busiest or u really wanna do don’t u ? was reading up on here x

Hmm, I'm not sure. MDE can be glitchy, so it might be worth giving technical support a call: 0800 16 90 749 I'm sure they'll be able to help

First - use the website not the app. The app can be glitchy.

Go to the Disney website, log in, go to the top-right and hover your mouse pointer over where it says "MyDisneyExperience", and then select "MagicBands and Cards" from the dropdown menu. Or select the following link:

disneyworld.disney.go/en...n/bands-cards/

The above should show your Magicbands that you can customise. You may be asked to log in first if using the above link.

Note that if you select "My Reservations and Tickets" from the dropdown list (or click here) then it should show your Disney hotel reservation and your tickets. Although it sounds like that bit is all working for you.
