We are going as Avengers but I'm having trouble fitting into my Captain America dress - so if you see a fat Captain America on the 16th then give me a wave

Ahhh we leave on the 18th August and I’m tying myself up in knots over mnsshp on the 16th... we have been before but I kee reading that the first party is horrifically busy. We have a 7 and 4 year old who definitely won’t make it until midnight... do I need to be realistic and say it’s not worth it? We are only doing universal this trip so having a little bit of Disney would be amazing...

We went to the first party in 2017 and although it was busier then I expected virtually all rides were walk on. I think the only one that wasn't was mine train, but that was less then 10 minutes. Some of the trick or treat stops were ridiculously long lines. We just ignored all the long lines and only stopped if the lines were really short. The later the night went on we were able to just walk by and the filled our bags for us. Some of the Character meets were very long. Our daughter really wanted to meet Moana, initially the line was over 3 hours 🤪 decided to watch the first show and make a dash back once it finished. Got back to the Moana line and the wait was just under 1 hour which also included a 15 minute break for Moana.

Thanks Goldcoast. We wouldn’t be bothering with characters, we’d be there for the rides! Sounds like it might be worth considering then... now can I persuade dh?!?
