Breakfast like character breakfast but not?
Is there anywhere that does the mickey waffles or equivalent, etc that doesn't have the same price tag as the character breakfast? We aren't doing the parks this trip

We only stay at Port orleans, but you can get Mickey Waffles for breakfast every day if you wanted at the Riverside Mill which is their food court.

Most (if not all) of the resort QS places will do waffles. Not sure about the parks as the QS breakfast options tend to be Starbucks.

thanks everyone. I like the look of Boma, esp as it is buffet great with hungry kids!
the prices look to be similar to Ohana (which is a character meal so you get he benefit of that) though if I am not mistaken - would that be right?

You are right they are quite similarly priced, quite surprising considering 'Ohana has characters. Boma breakfast is $26.63 for adults and $14.91 for kids. 'Ohana is $34.08 for adults and $20.24 for kids. Boma is far superior; 'Ohana isn't a buffet, it's just served family style.
Other buffets without characters are Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club and The Wave at the Contemporary. Both have Mickey waffles, both are good but we particularly enjoyed Captain's Grille. They are much quieter than Boma and make for a more relaxing start to the day. Also a little cheaper, $24.50 each and $13.85 for kids. Both also have ala carte menus if you don't want to eat from the buffet. |

thanks ladies. We did Ohana last time and really enjoyed it- but as with all character meals found it pricey. Hmmm, am in 2 minds now, as it's not much more and chilling out on the beach at the Poly afterwards was fun.
That said it would be nice to do something different (although we did previously dine at Sanaa and did see the animals afterwards)

What about Trails End? That's a buffet which I think is cheaper. We've got it booked but on the dining plan so not 100% about the cost.
