Social sklls in Autistic Teenagers
My Son is in his final year of his Doctorate at University College London as a Clinical Psychologist.
His is looking for information and help from any parents/carers with teenagers that have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum disorder (ASD). The research study is approved by UCL/UCLH Joint Research Office, Great Ormond St Hospital Trust. If you are willing and may be able to participate he would be extremely grateful if you could contact him by email at b.hannon.17@ucl.ac.uk Kind regards and thanks Jill Hannon APPROVED BY ADMIN |

My DD is almost 12 so not quite a teenager, she isn't diagnosed autistic but is for other special needs (and we are currently in talks about having her checked for autism after feedback from the SEN coordinators). I am sure some lovely dibbers will be able to help your son

Thanks Jo - that's a shame especially as girls are more difficult to find for the research. Something he's really concerned about in general but that is another issue he's looking at too.
However, she would have to be officially diagnosed and I wish you both well going forward and hope you're getting the help you need. Jill |

My youngest has an autism diagnosis but she’s not quite a teen yet... but fast approaching that age and about to start secondary school... where does the time go, if I can help I’d be happy too but like I say she’s not a teen yet?

I belong to an autism group on Facebook. Would be willing to post your sons link on there and see if you get any takers?
My daughter is also not a teen yet |

Hi my daughter is 10 and autistic, would that be classed as too young for your sons study?

I know he's put a post on various facebook pages and emailed schools etc. but it definitely wouldn't hurt.
I'll send you a link if that's ok with the full details of the study that you can put on there which could be easier for you. It will contain his email and telephone number which he is fine about being 'put out there'. Thanks Jill |
