I think the person that suggested the union is waiting until it can impact the bank holiday weekend might be right.

Every day the announcement is delayed is better for some of us but worse for others. I do hope it gets sorted without strike action.

If I were a betting man I would put money on those dates, it would be a big embarrassment for BA to have their 100th celebrations with very little planes actually taking off. I also believe that BALPA really don't want to strike and if they can get some traction with BA it could be resolved and I really hope the latter is indeed the case for everyone!

Know exactly what you mean! When I worked in the MOD(N) a few of us used to take along a "buzz" word bingo card to break the monotony. Used to get some funny looks sometimes though.

It's a minimum notice period though so if that is the case they could announce it now. I think / hope they are genuinely attempting to resolve this without action..

Updating my phone 20 times a day a waiting for news. I hope they release a statement even updating us with what's going on at some point in the next couple of days.

Pilots are still talking, any strike would be 14 days minimum after the announcement by BALPA so nothing in the next 5 days.

Heathrow strikes are potentially on 23/24 August if the latest offer is rejected.
