Can I wear shorts at...

The Artist Point, Wilderness Lodge?

We will be at AK all afternoon and rather than go back to the Grand Floridian (where we are staying) to get changed, I thought it might be easier to get on Disney Transport direct to WL to eat (at 7.50pm).

During the park (mid September), I am expecting it still to be warm so probably will be wearing smart/tailored shorts, but I know AP is kind of Fine Dining food, so I was wondering if I should go back to the GF to change, or can I go direct? I am probably likening it to Citrico's at the GF, where we have eaten before, but I am not sure shorts would be OK there?

...also, on the way home, what would be the best route from WL to GF, or is it a long way home?!

Many thanks.

I think you should be fine. We were there in May and ate at 3 signature restaurants (narcoossees, california grill and flying fish) and my partner went to all three of them in smart, tailored shorts with a collared top

There were a lot of other people also wearing the same. I would say there were more people in shorts than trousers.

I always wear cargo shorts at Signature restaurants (done almost all of them except V&A ... no shorts there anyway)
I also wear short sleeved shirts.

I can't be bothered wearing trousers in Florida. So shorts are all I have to wear

as long as they're smart and classy you're good. Don't go wearing those hawaian surf shorts you've been wearing at Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon, and it will be fine

I always wear shorts in Orlando, tailored ones to Sigs.

That's great, a collared shirt is the key I think, to top off the tailored shorts! Cheers all.

The dress code is rarely enforced apart from at V&As where it is rigidly enforced. You will find a wide mixture of clothing on people, they understand some guests have been in the parks all day and will go straight to the restaurant.

From a personal point of view we like to dress up smarter as it makes the meal feel nicer. However I still wear smarter shorts and a button/collared shirt and usually converse (don't have any other smarter shoes &#128514
