Firstly had our 4th holiday cancelled because of Covid.

Then after a leak in our roof and a slight bow in the master bedroom had a roofer come and have a look (a friend) new roof needed asap.

AS he looked at the facias these need to be replaced and he thinks that the rendering is popped and all needs to go as well

The only silver lining is that the refund can go towards the house no holiday again this year

Was think as I read this that at least you have the holiday money, not much consolation but better than nothing

Thanks guys its only money as you know DB I have had to cancel a holiday before because of my mum and got a better one in the end and i have now got 166k of virgin points

Bless you, it�s so rubbish when things happen like this, but you do really need a roof! You will be able to get away in the future, but having a new roof will save issues mounting up now.

They say everything comes in 3s so thats you done then - roof, fascia and render 😳 Rotten luck, hope it all goes well. Next year to look forward to a holiday when we can all travel easily 🤞🏻🤞🏻

You�ll have a good sound waterproof house though, so you�ll still have the money but invested in your home.

Well the scaffold comes next Friday on the bright side because we have a all on the front of our roof that means we dont need scaffold there which would be on the road the expensive bit as it may have needed traffic lights.
