Universal annual passes

I know the 3 park ticket isn’t on sale yet for 2021, but planning to go next aug then maybe in the Oct for HHN, what would be the best tickets to get? Get the 3 park tickets then upgrade to annual passes when we get there? Many thanks for any help/advice

I just usually skip all the messing about and buy an AP direct from the Universal website. Selecting ticket window pick up avoids any shipping fees.

That's what I'm doing for next year, I've bought a 3 parks one, ordered direct from Universal. I actually ordered it for this year, under the 3 months free deal, but obviously that didn't go ahead. Thankfully it doesn't have a date it needs to be activated by. There wasn't an option for postal delivery, just pick up at ticket window.

If you get a really good deal on one of the other tickets it may save you some money buying a ticket and upgrading as Universal price it at what they charged for the ticket, not what you paid. We had bought 2 day with 3 free from Visit Orlando when they had 5% off then decided to upgrade to an AP while over there. We saved slightly on buying an AP outright.
