Turkey funeral (light hearted)
Only 6 for Christmas day but 30 for a funeral.
I will therefore be holding my turkeys funeral on Christmas Day at my house. Anyone else got any clever wheezes to get around the rules. For those who want to be serious this is just a joke and I will abide by the rules |

When my DD's wedding was cancelled due to the restrictions on numbers I suggested to her that she gets married on a plane. We could all book seats, and there'd even be catering!

We are doing the same, it seems only right to say goodbye to our devoted pet turkey!
We might have 7 on Christmas Day, but elderly MIL sleeps through most of the day, so doesn't count! Lol!

Leave hand sanitiser and a mask out for Santa instead of milk and cookies!

It partly works - of course as soon as you serve any food or drink (even water) it becomes a wake not a funeral and you would have to ask 15 of the 30 to leave immediately as wakes only allow 15 people at them.
The more correct way would be to declare it a business meeting of the "Turkey Eaters Society", so long as you talk about the business of eating turkey you would qualify for the business exemption around meeting indoors (which has no limit on attendance) Finally in our house we would never have a turkey funeral, but we do a good line in turkey cremations most years! |

If we knock a hole through the wall to our neighbours can we have 12 as we’d still be separate households 😂
