I have only used the vroom at Gatwick many years ago but always use the BA lounge. I used the BA lounge at Heathrow in November and it's a very different experience to pre pandemic.

Social distancing means they want to keep customers sat in one spot. Everything is ordered by app and bought to your seat. Limited menu, no buffet type products. Very subdued.

We used it in 2019 at Manchester and we liked it. 7 year old daughter was entertained and made friend with a girl in there too which was nice, they were playing table football. Food was nice and had a nice feel to it, staff were also lovely. We were on the 10.30am flight so weren’t bothered about alcohol anyway at that time. Would book it again.

used to use the V room but have flown on points for the last few years. Last year we opted to stay at the radisson blu the night before - even though we are only about 30 mins away.
Best decision ever! we got rid of our cases the night before had a relaxing evening and lovely meal at the hotel and fabulous breakfast the next morning. as we only had to go through security and already had our boarding passes then we could leave it longer before going through. Most relaxed we've ever been before a holiday and was a good alternative to the v room. once through security we pretty much went straight to the gate.

When we used the vroom, we had only booked a fly drive, in virgin rules that class as a holiday.
