Getting Excited

Who has postponed to 2022? and would you mind sharing your reasons please?
We were due to go August 2020 which was obviously moved to this August, we were having 10 nights in Orlando followed by a weeks cruise.
The cruise will very likely not sail and in addition to this our flights ( Lufthansa from Birmingham) were recently cancelled, so taking all this into account we decided to take the refund on the flights and move the cruise to next year, effectively moving the holiday to 2022 I think it was likely the best decision for us, but I still feel sad about it, especially as things are now looking positive on the travel to the USA front, is anyone else in a similar position to us?

Not postponed, just cancelled. Too many restrictions for us to justify the spend. Kids in masks in parks and on planes just won’t be feasible. Also, the blistering summer heat is a challenge in itself without having to wear masks.

We moved from May 2021 to May2022, glad we did now as travel to the US will still be restricted this May. Just need a bit more time for things to settle down.

As above. Masks in July heat won’t be comfortable for us especially my 12 year old who as asthma. We’ve moved our trip 4 times now since last July, but we’re going to do the Disney cruise staycation instead to make up for it! Let’s hope we can get booked🤞🏻

We moved from August 20, to Feb 21, to August 21 and now August 22.
I wasn't confidant things would be remotely back to normal by this summer, or if we would even be allowed to travel. I didn't want to risk getting excited again, then cancelling at the last minute, so threw myself into planning 2022 where I feel much more confidant things will go ahead. And then my DH has basically refused to go anywhere this year so it just made sense. We've booked a fly drive with Virgin, but all other flights were with BA (also had a NYC trip & a Poland trip) so we have a healthy pot of BA vouchers to use by 2023. We're much happier with our decision, and best bit is now we are going next year our 2 sets of best friends are coming too, so it will be even better!

We moved august 2021 to august 2022. I’ve missed too much work with the lockdown as I’m self employed and couldn’t afford to go in 2021.

We’ve moved from May 21 to October 22
Last May was cancelled moved October to this May which we were so confident would be ok. I think if things aren’t back to normal by October 22 they never will be

We were meant to be flying today. Hoping to go next year instead but it all depends on masks and testing. We have an autistic little boy who wouldn’t be able to cope with either. So i cant book anything until things are back to normal
