Glasgow cancelled for the year VS

Just saw on twitter that Virgin have pulled all Glasgow flights for the rest of the year. I really didn't see that coming. We are LHR but were hoping to move to Gla for the return.

Apparently we should receive an email with our options tomorrow/this weekend

I’m already looking at other companies incase the options are rubbish :/

I tried calling to discuss options but the person i spoke to had no idea what was acceptable... like i could go from Manchester but only if i paid for premium seats O.o or i could fly via NY or Boston 😴

Once again the DIBB provides the information before anyone else!

We are supposed to be flying from Glasgow on the 1st of September but obviously not now.

Have questioned via Twitter and been told, like others, that our options will be notified to us sometime tomorrow.

Have looked at options from both Manchester and Heathrow and it will probably cost between £500 and £700 factoring different prices for flights, car parking and hotels. Also checked BA for flights and about £600 more.

Flights based on PE prices, hotels PI prices and car parking official prices.

Priced train to Manchester as well.

See what they say tomorrow if not happy I'll take a refund thank you.

Not surprised, there was an article on BBC Scotland about tourism & it did mention that Airlines were going to cut less profitable routes. I gather from the article that TA's/airlines are as in the dark as the rest of us!

I could just cry. I don’t know what to do now and feel like we should just postpone.

I’m not sure I want to go anymore. There’s too much uncertainty and I’m not flying from London if I can help it. Of course if Nicola doesn’t allow international travel we would have had to anyway.
