MIA Worst Airport Ever
I found MIA to be a horrible airport, 4hrs from landing to exit and have never come across so many rude staff, from hire car workers, check in, immigration the lady at the gate yesterday on American Airlines 1815 MIA to Heathrow was disgustingly rude to the extreme, no manners at all. Some staff were ok, but the bad outweighs the good.
Some customer service training is needed out there. It was not just our family that noticed it, a few others were moaning about them too. |

Yes we found the staff pretty rude, haven't been since 2012 but doesn't sounds like it's improved much. I find it has a funny smell as well. And places for food are really limited
|

Absolutely agree. The place was filthy as well, the carpets sticky and dirty. In departures the food options and the shops were diabolical. Hated the airport but saved a fortune in flights !

Oh dear, we fly in and out of MIA in October, our first time there and already dreading it. What caused the 4 hours, was it delays at customs?

Sorry you had a bad experience OP.
We went through Miami both ways a couple of weeks ago and had no problems at all. We were out of the airport in no time and had a brilliant meal in TGI's when we had a delay coming back. Food and shopping choices in American airports are quite basic, they are just not mini shopping centres like our airports.

MIA used to be (self?) billed at the Most Beautiful Airport in the World. Sounds like things have changed.

I wouldnt quite class it as the worst in the world. Believe me, we have been to some real dumps. However there are always loads of complaints in the local paper about MIA
