I thought this too, but yesterday all 3 loading docks were being used at safaris and the wait was 110 mins. Both side of primeval with a 30 min wait. The fp+ queue we waited in for safaris was huge. Right though the queue and back past the entrance for the wildlife express!
Was Everest down yesterday morning? The ride times only start from 11am so this would obviously push up the wait times dramatically first thing at Safaris.

I've seen this mentioned a lot on the internet. I assume someone out there has confirmed it rather than just spread the rumour? And checked that it was the theme park staff rather than, say, IT staff?

When we were there a couple of weeks ago we saw a lot of new staff being trained. So, although Disney might have laid off some staff recently they are also still hiring as well. Admittedly, the training of new staff can cause queues to slow down and vehicle loading to take a bit longer.

BTW, we were talking to some folks from Maine and it seemed they had a Spring Break week off in March and another week off in April. They implied that happened in a lot of places near where they came from. I didn't realise US schools had weeks off in April a month after Spring Break.

It was, but our fast pass was after 12. Everest at 2pm ish was heaving. We walked past on the way to dinoland, and the fp+ queue went to the bridge. Couldn't work out where the end of the normal queue was.

On a side note... We were in MK today and saw mine train reach 140mins! Crazy...

US school districts have been introducing Fall breaks so more Americans are going to Disney on October. This is reflected in the US free dining offer - all of October is excluded. Disney just don't need to attract customers in October.

That's mad. Hope it calms down for next week.

I'm wondering if it is anything to do with the start of the Invictus games on the 8th May. Perhaps more people have booked to go early so as not to hit the Invictus crowds... just a thought 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

We're not finding it too bad at all at the moment. There are quite a lot of people in the parks, but not an unexpected level. And queues are very reasonable. The only thing we have really queued for at all in the last 10 days is Forbidden Journey, which was 30mins at around 4pm on Monday. (Gringotts was a virtual walk on at 6.30pm Tues). We had Express Passes for Universal and have made good use of FP+ at Disney, plus planning days well, but we honestly haven't queued for much!

The oarks are slightly busier this week I think due to Passover. Jewish schools in the US have a Passover holiday equivalent to Easter holidays, which may we'llbe pushing numbers up.

We have noticed a lot of Jewish families this week, I wouldn't have known it was Passover but as its a big holiday that explains why, a few people arrived at our hotel last night who are here competing in the invictus games.
We were at Busch gardens today and most rides in morning all walk on, in afternoon they were only a short wait with exception of water rides but that was cos it's so bloomin hot.

we were at magic kingdom today from 8am ( breakfast at BOG) till 14.00. we managed anna and elsa meet, cinderella and rapunzel meet, carousel, its a small world, meet ariel, little mermaid ride, sdmt(fp+), a bibbidi bobbidi app and a 1st haircut app, saw the move it shake it parade, met rafiki, pirates of the caribbean (fp) and rode the train the whole way round. The crowds were busy but the rides had relatively short wait times and with a 2 and 3 yr old we are not running around, but taking it quite easy x
