Probably more chance of catching COVID at WDW. Social distancing seems to have gone out the window.

Agree. Son is a Nurse, certainly not 'rife' in his hospital, he says, and they have regular briefings.

If I was actually seriously worried about catching COVID and being in large crowds (I'm not), I wouldnt even be thinking about Disney.

There are huge numbers of cases in schools, and unfortunately each school kid has an adult they live with, these adults are working, shopping, going to the cinema, restaurant, theatre. I live in Suffolk and our cases were very low compared to everywhere else in waves 1 and 2 - but this time cases are the highest in the country.

Hopefully those adults are vaccinated and won't get seriously ill. Can't keep worrying about cases or we will never get out of this especially as people seem to catch COVID multiple times.

Sorry but it's not rife in hospitals. Patients have covid but a lot are not there because of covid.

Just reporting what the BBC is saying today - perhaps the doctors are ramping it up?

The NHS Confederation and the British Medical Association are among the groups who have called for some restrictions to be reintroduced in England, amid rising cases.

With daily coronavirus infections at 50,000 and the number of patients admitted to hospitals each day close to 1,000, the chair of the government’s Covid modelling committee, Professor Graham Medley, said the country could be “three or four weeks away” from a serious problem if the rise remained unchecked.

I see Ed Sheeran has Covid now🙁

Media are reporting a leaked document indicating the Government are about to impliment Plan B with reintroduction of some restrictions - as they venomously denied it I can quite believe it

They are ramping it up.

Gloucestershire is seeing massive COVID cases at the moment but the hospital is certainly not over run with COVID patients. In fact, there's not many at all.

Ive no doubt the NHS will struggle this Winter, but for the media to say hospitals are rife with COVID is an outright lie at the moment.
