car memorabilia shop in Mercado

Hi,

Does anyone know what happened to the Car Memorabilia shop that used to be near the Cricketers in the now closed Mercado (off I-Drive)? It was there in 06 but gone by 07. Did the shop relocate or just disappear?

know the one you mean, but never saw anything about it being relocated. what was it called? we used to have a look round it, but cannot remember what it was called.

David and Lesley: My son thinks the shop was called something like "one for the road". When we were there in May / June I made enquiries and searched the web but found nothing. Shame if the guy packed up as it was a really nice little shop. We are back in again this year so will keep looking!

we were talking about it last night, all of can remember it and picture the window etc, but cannot come up with the name, like you say, shame if he closed up, I will have a look at some of the old maps we've picked up over the years (sad aren't we ) i am sure i had an old mercado map somewhere.

The shop you are looling for has relocated to Festival bay mall. I'm sure this is the one you are looking for. I was there in XSept, and the guy was talkin about winding the business up, dont know what happened though. Its nest to the 50's retro store in the mall.

Yep, Its moved to the Festival Bay mall... the owner is NOT happy... His business is seriously suffering since the Mercado closed. He was saying he was hoping to move back there when the new place opened... well he was in May anyway...

Perhaps, grab his phone number to see if he is still there. If not, the mgmt office may have his new location.

Thanks folks. It seems the shop is called One for the Road and is in the Festival Bay Shopping Mall. I looked round there in May and scoured the phone book. Amazing that we found where he is from the UK!

Lets hope he is still there when we go back in the Summer!
