Better avaialabilty for FOP fastpasses

I notice that there is now pretty good availabilty for FOP fastpass between 30 & 40 days out.
I had discounted the idea of a 1 night onsite stay as even with that getting a precious fastpass was rare as everything was gone at the 62 day mark.
Is this due to March being quiet or could the closing of the "cancelling onsite booking" lophole really of had a big effect on availability ?
1 night onsite is looking a more attractive option now if we can get to access some of the more elusive fast passes.

Oooh, I hope this is still the case in August! We used to ride it just as the park closed but a FP would be even better!

The reason is that the park hours for AK have just been extended so that makes more slots available. Nothing more than that.

You could well be right. It appears it was a well used loophole by some that encouraged disney to act. Every extra ticket available is great news and imo they should only let you use the 60 day window for the days you are staying on site. So book 1 night you get 2 days fast pass during your stay. The other days remaining should be released on the 30 day mark. This makes it fairer for everyone staying off site

We rode flight of passage yesterday. It is absolutely amazing!
We got there for park opening and power walked round. It was a 60min queue. When we came iff It was 165mins.
